New Year’s Resolutions

Ok, so it’s THAT time of year.  Time for a fresh start, a new beginning, and maybe even a do-over.  2011 is here, along with the age-old practice of making New Year’s resolutions.  Last year, I decided to read through the bible in a year.  Of course, I didn’t start until January 27th, 2010, so I still have a few weeks until I complete that one (thanks to YouVersion on my IPhone!).  But, others were quicker and easier, like toning up and organizing the family calendar.  And, then, there were the flops, like making a family menu each month.  That one lasted one month.  Oh well, I hate cooking anyway.

So, I want to know what goals you’ve set for 2011. I’m always intrigued to hear how people want to change and why.  So, what about you?  What’s your New Year’s Resolution?

I am going to do a full ironman this year on Nov. 27th. So, my goal for 2011 is to train and complete the race.
I also want to get a few rooms in my home more organized and keep them that way!

To spend more time trying to please God. To try to see others as he sees them. Next is to work harder to stick to our budget, and stop wasting so much time, and try to be more productive

This year my resolution is to get fit….both physically and financially. I also want to be financially fit for two reasons: 1. I want to commit to giving to God consistently. We have fallen behind in that area due to financial struggles. 2. I am getting married this fall and want to get rid of the burden of debt before the wedding!

This year my resolution is to shine brighter than ever and quit trying to stay in darkness because I feel like I have nothing to share with people due to financial issues & family issues. I have realized that it doesn’t matter what my situation is, I know that God loves me just the way I am, regardless of what I have, it’s not about things anyway, and that I do have alot to offer back, my love for God & others.

I am utilizing the amazing Home Organizing online Tool Flylady.com to get my home, family, & life in order. She is a great Christian woman who teaches women how to get rid of the CHAOS (Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome). And from what I heard at Girlfriends this morning, I’m not alone in this 2011 Resolution!!! Please check this site out & share w/ your friends.
